| | Dr. Raymond is Senior Vice President for Quality, Medical Education, and Research at the Palmetto Health and Associate Dean at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He attended Gettysburg College and holds advanced degrees from the University of Virginia (M.S.) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (M.D.) and is certified by the American Boards of Internal and Emergency Medicine. His professional career has been spent exclusively in the practice of emergency medicine, teaching, medical administration, and research.
Currently, he is responsible for the oversight of Palmetto Health's graduate medical education programs consisting of 220 residents and 150 faculty. His other duties include coordination of clinical quality initiatives across the three hospitals of Palmetto Health and supervision of the system’s research programs.
