| Successful transformation of South Carolina’s health care enterprise will require active participation and engagement from consumers, employers, universities, health care providers, health plans, public health agencies, relevant associations, and government. HSSC works closely with many of these stakeholders within the state to identify and implement innovations and research projects that will help reform and transform the current health care system and thus improve the health status of the state’s citizens. By helping to facilitate the development of demonstration projects that design, test, verify, and evaluate various aspects of the system, HSSC is at the forefront of change for South Carolina’s health care industry.
