PCORI Grant Award Translates into National Research Opportunities for Carolinas Collaborative

Grants

The Carolinas Collaborative, a health research organization composed of top universities and health systems from North and South Carolina, is poised to join the Mid-South Clinical Data Research Network, part of a national network for conducting clinical effectiveness research through the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Network (PCORnet). The move will enable Carolinas-based researchers to access data and collaborate with colleagues from across the country to improve health in America.

The Mid-South Clinical Data Research Network, established by Vanderbilt University in 2014, has been awarded a three-year, $8.5 million in funding from the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) as part of the second phase of the development of PCORnet. The PCORI funding award enables the Mid-South Clinical Data Research Network to include members of the Carolinas Collaborative.
