Regional Medical Center - Orangeburg, SC

First established as a private hospital in 1919, the Regional Medical Center (RMC) has grown into a 286-bed, acute-care, healthcare facility with more than 100 physicians on staff, over 1,200 employees and 150 volunteers. RMC is a non-profit hospital owned by Orangeburg and Calhoun counties and has a strong history of commitment to the health of this community.

The Regional Medical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission and has Advanced Certification as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. RMC provides a wide array of specialties and programs that offer state-of- the-art healthcare. These include a 24-hour emergency department, a full range of high-quality medical services from breast health to wound care, and a proactive community-wide wellness program. 

RMC also operates nine Primary Care practices, an Occupational Medicine practice, three Cardiology practices, an Orthopaedics practice, two Surgery practices, an Internal Medicine practice, an Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology practice, and an Obstetrics/Gynecology practice, as well as after-hours Urgent Care with physician, lab and X-Ray in Santee, SC and Bamberg, SC. RMC's Mobile Services van provides digital mammography and other screenings throughout the region.
